Take The Trauma Informed Care ACE Quiz
Written by ADMIN on 21/12/2022
According to the Adverse Childhood Events (ACE) study, the more trauma experienced in childhood, the more likely serious health problems arise later in life.
This study is the very premise of Trauma Informed Care. Take the quiz below, so that you can understand more about what your clients may be experiencing, whether they are children or adults.
Keep in mind that the ACE quiz is not comprehensive and very imperfect. It does not take into account many additional traumas that children may experience including, Racial discrimination, Systemic oppression, National disasters or terrorism, Commercial sexual exploitationm Sudden or violent loss of a loved one, Refugee or war experiences, Military family-related stressors (e.g., deployment, parental loss or injury), Physical or sexual assault, Neglect, Serious accidents or life-threatening illness.
Given the noncomprehensive nature of the quiz, we still believe it’s important to be aware of how trauma Informed care came into existence.
Please be aware of the TRIGGER WARNING for the ACE Quiz: This content maybe include graphic examples to topics that you may find offensive, or traumatizing. There are references to child abuse, physical violence, sexual abuse, physical and sexual assault, substance abuse, suicide, and more.
Note: We do NOT collect any personal or private data from this form.
